Popup was block through actions but perhaps I can reload my Winsock and Windows Firewall. But this client had no anti-virus to begging with so that is a given entry to malware. Our tech said that before the virus was not letting him download anything or connect to the internet. He used a ethernet cable to try to connect but the virus would shut it off with 15 seconds. So note that also. Now he is using Avast to clean it out. loading very slow though 40%. So far the pop up has stopped.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9037451876283711606.post-41945023338713843132011-09-06T20:53:54.493-07:002011-09-06T20:53:54.493-07:00thanks for the information. So far I got it cleared off my computer with Spybot S&D but then on reboot none of my programs are responsive. Only files which I'm backing up to a flash drive. How is it installed? OK redirected to a website but then at least something is run in the background. Is it imposed on clicking a download link and actually download and execute this malware? If so, can it circumvent restricted user accounts (ie. not being an admin?). If all this is true, ie. one needs to take action themselfs, why was it started. Looking for a nice crack that turned out to be something else? How can we sort out malicious sites to counter malicious software? BTW, Saying Win 7 is crap, get XP shows one thing: You did not understand computers! I have some ignorent who has the same problem on XP now. Sure, sure he too is an admin...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
