Like other malicious programs from the same family of fake optimization tools, PC Repair can be installed without you noticing that, through the use of trojans. It does not require your agreement!
When installed, the rogue will perform a fake system and detect 11 critical errors. Some of the errors:
- Drive C initialization error
- Read time of hard drive clusters less than 500 ms
- 32% of HDD space is unreadable
- Bad sectors on hard drive or damaged file allocation table
Remember, the scan results are a fake, this malware is unable to detect any problems. So you should never trust this fake application and ignore all that it will display you.
While PC Repair is running, it will display various fake warnings. Some of the warnings:
Critical Error! RAM memory usage is critically high. RAM memory failure. However, the rogue just uses the fake alerts to make the scam look more realistic. You should ignore all of them.
Critical Error! Hard Drive not found. Missing hard drive.
Critical Error! Windows can't find hard disk space. Hard drive error
Critical Error! Damaged hard drive clusters detected. Private data is at risk.
As you can see, PC Repair pretends to be a legitimate PC optimization tool but, in reality, it is a scam. You should remove this malware as soon as you notice it installed on the system. Follow the PC Repair virus removal instructions.
