PcsProtector

PcsProtector is a rogue antispyware program from WiniGuard family as GreatDefender, APCProtect, ProtectPcs, SysDefence, TheDefend, GuardPcs, IGuardPc, SiteAdware, AntiTroy, AntiKeep, AntiAdd, RESpyWare, REAnti, KeepCop, SecureKeeper, LinkSafeness, AntiAID, SystemWarrior, SystemFighter, SystemVeteran, BlockProtector, BlockKeeper, BlockScanner, BlockWatcher, SoftBarrier, ShieldSafeness, SoftStronghold, SoftVeteran, SoftCop, SoftSoldier, TrustFighter, TrustSoldier, SafeFighter, TrustCop, SecureWarrior, SecureFighter, SecureVeteran, SecuritySoldier, SaveArmor, SaveDefender, TrustWarrior, SoftSafeness, SafetyKeeper, etc.

The rogue is installed from malicious websites through the use of trojans. Like other rogue antispyware program from WiniGuard family, it will label previously created files as infections.

All of these infections are fake, PcsProtector labels harmless files as infections to trick user into buying a "full" version of the program.
